How it started.
Longtime Summit County locals Alison and Abel Beazley have taken their fine dining expertise and opened Wildflower BBQ, a place where exceptional food meets community spirit.
Alison and Abel have had a vision of opening their own restaurant in Summit County for years. Both being Summit High School graduates, they have extensive culinary backgrounds that include six years at Napa’s Michelin three-star restaurant, The French Laundry. Alison became the first female expediting Sous Chef in the restaurant’s history and worked with the Chef Thomas Keller and the French Laundry team on 2020’s The French Laundry, Per Se cookbook. Now, the Beazleys are blending their experience with a passion for BBQ to create a menu that offers something for everyone.
“Barbecue has always been a part of our lives” says Alison. “We’ve traveled across the country, trying different BBQ styles, and our menu reflects the food we love most. This isn’t just one style of BBQ; it’s what we’ve found to be the best.”
BBQ, to the Beazleys, is more than just food. “Barbecue has a rich history of being for the people, and we want to embrace that,” says Abel. “Whether you’re a local looking for a regular lunch spot or a family visiting from out of town, we want to share our love of BBQ with you.”
